Glide beneath the surface, then give your paddleboard or kayak a powered boost. The Asiwo U1 Combo combines a handheld underwater scooter and a motor for compatible SUPs and kayaks in one modular system.

It’s made for weekends that don’t fit into just one activity. Explore with your mask and fins, cruise on your board, or add propulsion to your kayak without buying a separate motor for each adventure.

Your board, with a little extra go

Some days you want to paddle. Some days you want to ease off and enjoy the scenery. Fit the U1 to a compatible fin box and add powered propulsion to your SUP or kayak, with control from the included wrist-worn remote.

Use the three settings to find a comfortable pace for your craft and conditions. The modular mounting system makes the U1 a practical option for paddlers who want one unit they can also use underwater.

Take the power underwater

In handheld mode, the U1 becomes an underwater scooter for snorkelling and trained scuba diving. Hold the handles and enjoy powered movement through the water, whether you’re cruising above a reef or exploring below the surface.

The 1100W motor delivers up to 17 kgf of thrust. Three power levels let you adjust the feel of the ride, while the supplied buoyancy kit gives you another way to configure the system for surface use.

The unit is depth-rated to 50 metres. That is an equipment rating, not a recommended dive depth: always stay within your training, certification and conditions.

Choose your pace, plan your session

Maximum power and maximum battery time are different things. Lower power gives you more time on the water; higher power gives you a stronger boost and uses the battery faster.

Quoted maximum runtime: up to 60 minutes. Actual time varies with the setting, rider weight, craft, water resistance and conditions. Plan your return with battery reserve.

Supplier figures quote up to 12 km/h in SUP mode and 3 m/s (10.8 km/h) underwater. Treat these as maximum figures under test conditions, not expected cruising speeds for every rider or watercraft.

A modular kit that earns its place in your gear

Instead of choosing between a dedicated sea scooter and a separate board motor, the U1 gives you both uses in a single package. Change the configuration to suit the day, then pack the system into its carry case.

The battery removes for charging, with a quoted charge time of 3-4 hours. Extra batteries are an optional way to extend your outings without waiting for a recharge.

Before you choose your U1

Will it fit my SUP or kayak?

It fits compatible fin-box systems using the mounting kit. Compatibility depends on the fin box and available clearance, so check your craft first. If you’re unsure, send Wavez a photo and we’ll help you assess the fit.

Is the wrist remote a smartwatch?

It’s a dedicated wrist-worn motor controller, rather than a general-purpose smartwatch. It puts motor control within easy reach when using the watercraft configuration.

Does the SUP/kayak kit come with this listing?

Yes. This is the combo package, with the SUP kit, water deflector, wrist remote, buoyancy kit and carry case described above.

Will it float without the buoyancy kit?

Don’t assume the bare unit will float. Fit and use the supplied buoyancy accessories as directed in the manual.

How do I care for it?

Rinse after saltwater use, dry the charging connections before charging, and follow the supplied manual for cleaning, battery storage and assembly.
